What are the delivery terms?
Within Russian Federation, the standard delivery time is 2-4 weeks. However, if the device is available at stock, the shipping time can be reduced to 1 week.

How I can learn operate these geophysical apparatuses?

What about accuracy of object identification using the EMF-IS scanner “NEMFIS”?
In the general case, the scanner does not give directly the depth of anomaly (object).
However, it is often possible to calibrate the map if the actual depth of objects or soil types are know from other sources. In our manuals we explain the methodological keys for accurate estimation of occurrence depth. The operator can see the position in a section and tell which of two similar objects is found deeper.

How the EMF-IS scanner “NEMFIS” can estimate the object depth?
The device emits EM signal consequently at several frequencies in the range from 2.5 to 250 kHz. The set of frequencies can be selected from one to fourteen. The penetration depth depends on the frequency and this ensures layer-by-layer penetration into the ground.

What is the minimum size of an object can be detected with this scanner?
The apparatus is effective in detecting of local metallic objects with the diameter bigger than 30 cm, or for longwise anomaly in conductivity (tube or cable) which repeats in several profiles and has the diameter bigger than 10 cm.

What is the maximum probing depth depending on the soil type?
The higher the specific conductivity of the soil, the lower the probing depth. That is why in arid regions with dry sand (often at archeological sites) the scanning depth will be high.

Which factors complicate detection of metal objects; what kind of structure can be falsely interpreted as metallic objects?
At some frequencies the interference from electrical stations, electrical mains, powerful electrical apparatuses creates troubles in identification of buried metal objects. If the site has much of metallics craps on the surface, the satiation can be relieved by switching off the highest frequencies during scanning. In general, it is difficult to confuse a local metal object with rock layers of high mineralization and high conductivity; the geological features has higher span at a given depth and the anomaly in apparent conductivity is less pronounced.

Can untrained person give correct interpretation to the data of scanning?
This scanner offers information on distribution of apparent conductivity in subterranean medium. In general case interpretation is simple: a conductor has a higher electrical conductivity than the surrounding medium. The dielectric object has a lower electrical conductivity. Metallic objects in the ground have so contrasting conductivity that one cannot misunderstand this data. If the task is tracing of metal object in the soil depth, this job can be performed by untrained user. The search and study of wooden or masonry remains underground (archeology study using MFDEM instruments) a more challenging task. The assignments on ecology, hydrogeology, geological engineering with 3D mapping requires very qualified personnel.

Can I use this scanner for identification of the metal type?
With certain limitations, the EMF-IS scanner can be used for identification of metal class. Preliminary tests demonstrated that the ferrous/nonferrous metal class selection can be done.
